Contractor Awards
The Bahamian Contractors’ Association (BCA) honored several of the country’s top honors during it’s first ever ” Inaugural Regional Conference of Caribbean Contractors “. Awards were given to Building and Sub Contractors in four major BCA membership categories- Building & Sub Contractor of the year, levels 1-3 and Prime General Contractor of the year.
Level 1- Building Contractor of the Year was awarded to Mr. Rodger Bullard of R & B Construction.

Level 2- Building Contractor of the Year was awarded to Mr. Terrance Storr of Big Margin Construction.

Level 3- Building Contractor of the Year was awarded to Mr. Timothy Collie of Turn-Key Enterprises.

The Prime Contractor of the year was awarded to Island Site Development (ISD). Mr. Mosko received the award on behalf of the company.

Level 1- Sub Contractor of the Year was awarded to Atario Mitchell of Bahamas Striping Company.

Level 2- Sub Contractor of the Year was awarded to Mr. Gurth Knowles of Dozer Heavy Equipment.

Level 3- Sub Contractor of the Year was awarded to Bahamas Elevator Systems. The proprietor is Mr. Richard Tighe.

The Prime Sub Contractor of the year was awarded to Innovative Waves. The proprietor is Mr. Chris Symonette.
Sub Prime Contractor of the Year was awarded to Mr. Chris Symonette of Innovative Waves. He was not on hand to collect the award.
The highlight of the evening came when the winner of this year’s BCA Lifetime Award went to the late Mr. Harold “Sonny” Waugh of Waugh Construction of Freeport, Grand Bahama. Mr. Prudden, the brother of the late Mr. Sonny Waugh was on hand to receive the award.

The Lifetime Achievement Award is given to members of the Construction Community who have made many years of notable contributions to the growth of the industry.
