Map and list view of Experiences, Restaurants and Shops

StreetSmart takes the hassle and uncertainty out of the travel experience. Visitors can curate their own experience with any mix of sightseeing, dining, tours and shopping that they wish. You can browse our vendors in either list or map view mode. List mode will automatically sort the list by what’s nearest to you, and the rating. Before any decision is made visitors can read reviews, view menus, or browse for special offers and promotions that our vendors wish to emphasize.

Historical Sites and Points of Interest

A user wishing to sight-see can choose Historical Sites which displays all points of interest nearest you. We have partnered with local historians to provide a unique and exciting overview of the many points of interest. Visitors can see the directions and estimated walking times as well as other points of interest and vendors along their path. Once visitors arrive at the destination, they will be able to read a summary or listen to audio narration in English, Spanish or French.

Chat & Travel Group Functionality

Users traveling in groups can keep in contact with each other via StreetSmart’s messaging platform and can share content such as pictures, videos, and audio. The travel group chat provides a platform for coordinating travel plans and can help ensure that everyone is on the same page and avoid any miscommunications or delays. Visitors can also share information about local attractions, restaurants, and events, allowing everyone to make informed decisions about how to spend their time. In case of an emergency or if someone gets lost, StreetSmart’s SOS emergency response system is designed to alert members of the travel group and can be used to quickly communicate with everyone and coordinate a response. This can be beneficial to ensuring everyone’s safety and well-being.

Leaderboard, Check-Ins and Offers

StreetSmart uses geo-fencing technology to create virtual boundaries around specific locations, such as shops, historical sites, and restaurants. When the user enters the designated area, the app sends a notification prompting them to check-in. StreetSmart vendors offer additional rewards and discounts for checking in. Each check-in earns visitors a certain number of points, which can be accumulated and redeemed for rewards, such as discounts, free items, or exclusive offers. StreetSmart uses gamification techniques, such as leaderboards, to encourage visitors to check in to more locations and earn more points.

Become a StreetSmart Vendor

To become a vendor on Street Smart, you must create an account on the website’s homepage. Fill in all slots providing your business name, contact information and create a password for your StreetSmart account. Once you click continue, a One-Time-Password (OTP) will be generated and sent to your email address for verification. Once you confirm have read and agreed to StreetSmart’s Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy, you may proceed to the next steps and complete your vendor profile.

Offers and Rewards Program

By joining StreetSmart’s Offers and Rewards Program for potential customers traveling to the Bahamas, vendors can greatly benefit in terms of increased visibility and sales. By offering special deals and discounts, vendors can attract customers who are looking to save money and get the most out of their trip. Experience Providers must enter their company’s banking details. This can be a business account or the personal account of the proprietor. You must complete all fields and select your Bank and Branch from the “Beneficiary Bank” drop-down menu. This list is populated to include all domestic banks and branches located in the Bahamas. Any errors or misinformation may result in delayed or rejected payments.

Add Listing Details - Location

Use your mouse to drag and drop the red location marker to the exact location of your business, or you can search for your business in the location field. If you operate a mobile business, you should consider using the most frequent meeting point, pick-up location or tour starting point. This will be displayed as your location in the mobile app. If this is not your physical location, be sure to include the specific details in your profile under ‘Additional Details’ so your guests know what to expect when they arrive at your location.

Adding Operating Hours

Vendors can input their business operating hours and customizable for each day of the week and state if they are unavailable on any day as well. For tour operators, we recommend uploading the hours “tour by tour”. For example, if there are multiple tours in a day, click “add more” to add the times for each individual tour offered. This will automate the booking process so guests can only choose from available tour time
